The company's initial expansion into the asbestos removal and reinstatement sector was slow but gradual. Grays Thermal's continued quality performance resulted in a number of accreditations from numerous schemes, such as Arca, TICA, Sinclair, UVDB, National Britannia and Constructionline.

Grays Thermal Insulation has undertaken works for both the public and private sectors. A selection of clients that Grays Thermal have carried out work for include Coral Estates Ltd, Maldon Demolition Ltd, Transco and SERCO in conjunction with the ministry of defence, Havebury Housing Partnership, Fortunegate Housing Association (part of Guiness Trust), Barratt East London Ltd, Sandwell Homes Ltd, Norwich Primary Care Trust, the London Boroughs of Bromley and Southwark, Harlow District Council, Mole Valley District Council, Lambert Smith Hampton (part of W S Atkins Group), Consolidated Insulation Services Ltd and Tate & Lyle.
